Symptom Project 07
Symptom Project 07 – “Identyfing the loss”
On October 8, a new exhibition called “Identyfing the loss” is opening its doors, under the supervision of Nikh Papaspirou and Kosta Christopoulos at “Old Hospital of Amfissa Cultural Center” (Ypolochagou Gatou12 & Athanasiou Dimitra, Amfiss) and the Archeological Museum of Delphi.
The idea of loss is a decisive factor in the process of finding your identity. The aim of this exhibition is, through the diversity of art, to expand the transformations of ones identity as well as the expressions of its loss.
The exhibition “Identifying the loss” is an unfinished catalog of a series of attempts to safeguard places, traces and persons from oblivion. An incomplete series of confirmation of memory’s selectivity. An imperfect exposition of modern art pieces which resist the wear and counterbalance instability by exposing it, pieces of art who oversee the composition of the identity through loss itself.

es-optron 04 – “Πτυχώνοντας μια πνοή”
On Friday 7, Liza Kaliga opens the doors of her photographic exhibition called “Πτυχώνοντας μια πνοή”, under the supervision of Apostolis Artinos.
When her mother dies, Lizi Kalliga visits the apartment where she was living. She covers all the furniture with a transparent plastic bag and she photographs them. She freezes them in the silence of this severance but also before they are severed from her too.
She keeps them in their own atmosphere, with the memories they bring, the gestures of her mother, in whatever they can still bring back in mind. She animates them in the same way she inspired them and saved their image in her counter time.
